2024 Wedding Season Trends

I'm always a huge advocate of: your wedding, your way.

You do you, couples!

Here are just a few ideas we hope give you inspiration for the season ahead!

Personal Touch

Knowing the people behind your wedding supplier tribe! It can take some couples 6 - 18 months to plan a wedding. That’s a long time, so it is important the team you choose you gel with from day one. Can you see yourselves having fun with them? Trusting them with your vision and delivery? Trust your gut and trust your supplier crew to root for you every step of the way!

Storytelling

Menus that celebrate you both, your favourite memories together, date nights, adventures, favourite chefs, avoiding dislikes.

Edible Favours—or not favours at all!

You’d be gutted to hear how many unused favours we gather into stations at the end of the meal. Opt for something interactive or that guests can consume. Father Fossil is making ours that will also replace our toast drink - the colour also matches our florist’s colour scheme! Attention to detail makes us happy!

Prolonged Canape & Drinks Receptions

Enjoying the post ceremony buzz in your beautiful venue space. Nothing beats your favourite drink in one hand and bite sized delicious-ness in the other post just married feeling! Here at Fossil we always serve your very own couples canapé plate and ensure you are hydrated throughout, so you won’t miss a thing whilst enjoying your couples shoot! Some couples choosing to add additional canape portions to replace a traditional starter course.

Interaction/Theatre

Whether it be quirky canape boxes, sharing side dishes alongside your pretty plated dish, or carving showstopper joints of meat at the table with guests. Throw in the odd surprise element if you are looking to break the mould and avoid traditional vibes

Focus On Flavour & Produce

We personally have never claimed to be a fine dining style caterer (we love this style; it’s just not us personally!). Our ethos here and here to stay for 2024 and beyond is layers of flavours, textures, colours inspired by seasonal and local produce. Using good quality foundations in produce allows for creative memorable plates prepared skilfully by our talented chefs.

Miscellaneous Post-Dinner Time

If you have the time in your itinerary schedule in an hour of ‘nothing’. We are doing this personally at our wedding to enjoy everyone’s company, sneak off for some photos, give guests a moment to freshen up post meal to dance the night away. Fill the time with a signature cocktail perhaps - ask us about our new Espresso Martini bolt on to inject some caffeine pre-dancing - or even tea/coffee on the lawn is complimentary with every Wedding Breakfast
