A significant part of our philosophy here at Fossil Food Catering is that we endeavour to portray how each and every couple is unique. Your wedding day is entirely focused on you as a couple, so we believe the wedding catering experience throughout the event should express your own tastes and preferences.

We therefore offer bespoke wedding menu services (see our wedding menus here), where we work closely with you, the soon-to-be married couple, developing a menu for the occasion that truly represents you on a personal level. Our years of experience in catering for weddings has equipped us with the ability to interpret and extract your ideas, transforming them into a memorable wedding breakfast that you and your guests will reminisce for years to come.

The dining element of your big day could almost be considered the ‘centrepiece’ of the event; after the ceremonial vows, it is the feast that brings everyone back together before an evening of dancing the night away. Either start your celebrations with canapes and fizz or dive straight into your wedding breakfast.

At Fossil Food Catering, we are devoted to supporting local suppliers. From fresh batches of bread; to picking up the catch of the day from our favourite fishmongers, to growing our own vegetables and herbs… We pride ourselves on infusing only the best ingredients together for your wedding, and we purposefully design our bespoke menus to reflect these values.

We uphold an adaptable attitude when it comes to catering for you and your guests, as we understand the importance of details big and small when it comes to planning such a significant event.

We are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements. On the same note, our extremely flexible team can adjust our services to suit your venue. We do all of this without compromising on the unique flair for taste and level of professionalism we are known for.

Common Questions

Why is it called a Wedding Breakfast?

The meal most likely isn’t going to be a Full English with all the trimmings. Although it can be if that’s your style?! Anything goes here at Fossil Food Catering. The simplest explanation behind why your wedding catering feast is referred to as a Wedding Breakfast is this is the first meal you will share together as newlyweds after the ceremony has taken place. Call it whatever you like – either way we would love to be a part of it!

Do you cater for dietary requirements & allergies?

Absolutely – we take both very seriously! If you could please kindly advise us in advance of any guests who we need to adjust the menu for. We feel it is important that these meals are created with the same depth of creativity and imagination as the original – never an afterthought. Where possible we will create a similar option adjusting accordingly so all guests feel inclusive. We have a 5* environmental health rating and follow strict guidelines for dietary requirements and allergies.

I LOVE {insert amazing food choice here} but I don’t see this on your menu – can we have this for our wedding catering?

YES – we love catering for bespoke wedding breakfasts. Our menus online are for inspiration to show style and ethos but by all means this does not mean you are limited to these options. We love to hear what you both love to eat and your menu should reflect your personality and what you both love! Let’s talk ideas – drop us a message!

Where do you source your produce?

Sourcing locally is important to us. We have so many awesome local suppliers in Devon and Dorset and we want to support them! We also grow a lot of produce on the land here too. The beauty of wedding catering is very often your menu is planned in advance so where possible we will grow produce with your menu specifically in mind. Secondly when sourcing suppliers ethical and environmental practices are just as important to us as quality. We understand we are catering for many people each weekend at a time therefore we personally are very aware of our impact on the environment and welfare.

Should I provide food for the wedding photographer?

Yes – your photographer and other suppliers will be working hard behind the scenes delivering an awesome service! It is only fair they keep up their energy levels with a good ol’ hearty meal. Most in fact have it within their contract nowadays. We are happy to feed your photographer, videographer and band at a small fraction of the cost. Please make us aware of their dietary requirements in advance and we will make sure they are looked after!

Do you serve evening food?

We do – we have a list of ideas here or we would love to hear your suggestions! We find the perfect evening food to be something you are your guests can grab and enjoy on the go. Now is time to dance the night away so your evening food acts as the perfect fuel to your celebrations.
